If you want to know whether a broker or brokerage firm has been a party to a customer or investor complaint, you can now find out by searching the FINRA arbitration awards online database for a broker or brokerage firm.
FINRA’s Arbitration Awards Database
FINRA’s Arbitration Awards database allows investors to search for FINRA and historical NASD arbitration awards free of charge, seven days a week. Also available through the FINRA’s Arbitration Awards website are historical awards for New York Stock Exchange, the American Stock Exchange, the Philadelphia Stock Exchange, and the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board. Investors may search for arbitration awards by case number, document text, date of arbitration award (by date range), or a combination of document text and date of award. Arbitration awards can be viewed online, printed, or downloaded as text-searchable PDF files.
